Italian-language film could shoot this autumn in Southern Italy.
Iranian director Hana Makhmalbaf unveiled first details of her upcoming film Single Mother at the Paris Coproduction Village (June 10-12) last week.

The 39th edition of Hong Kong international Film Festival, which takes place from 23rd of March to 6th of April, has invited Mohsen Makhmalbaf as its head of Jury this year.
Makhmalbaf is joined by Jonathan Rosenbaum (the renowned film critic), Sandra Ng (Actress) and Chris Lee (Film Producer) on the jury panel.
On the 28th of March, Makhmalbaf’s latest feature THE PRESIDENT also went on screen in the festival.
سی و نهمین دوره جشنواره بین المللی فیلم هنگ كنگ كه از تاريخ ۲۳ ماه مارس تا ۶ آوریل برگذار مى شود از محسن مخملباف به عنوان رييس هيات داوران اين دوره از جشنواره دعوت كرده است.
پرزيدنت آخرين فيلم سينمايی محسن مخملباف كه در کشورگرجستان فيلم بردارى شده است از ١٨ ماه مارچ در ٦٠ سالن سينما در پاريس و ديگر شهرهاى فرانسه به روى پرده مى رود. پرزيدنت هم زمان با فرانسه در سينماهاى سوييس نيز به نمايش درخواهد آمد.
پرزيدنت داستان شكل گيرى يك انقلاب و فروپاشى ديكتاتورى هاست. مخملباف مى گويد منبع الهامش برای ساخت این فیلم انقلاب هاى گوناگون در ايران و خاورميانه بوده است.
“The President” Makhmalbaf’s most recent film, which is shot in Goergia, will be released in 60 theatres in Paris and other cities of France from 18 of March.
Alongside France, the film simultaneously go on screen in cinema’s across Switzerland.
The President tells the story of a revolution and the collapse of a dictatorship. “The film is inspired by the different revolutions taking place in Iran and middle east during recent years” says Makhmalbaf.

شستمين سالگرد سلطنت ملکه است. مردم انگلستان و گروهی از سراسر اروپا برای برگذاری جشن در اطراف رود تيمز لندن جمع شده اند تا عبور با شكوه قايق هايی كه كشتی ملکه را اسكورت می كنند را تماشا كنند.
اما اين حادثه برای اميرعلی جوان ايرانی معنای ديگری دارد. او٣ ماهی است غير قانونی به لندن آمده و در خانه پيرزنی انگليسی مستاجر است. امروز آخرين روزی است كه اگر اجاره اتاقش را نپردازد از خانه بيرون انداخته می شود و بايد در خيابان زندگی كند.
Synopsis:
It’s the story of a young Iranian boy who has come to London to seek asylum as a refugee. He has been tenant of an old lady for the past three month. However he cannot afford paying his £400 monthly rent.
The Landlady wants to throw him out. But the young boy asks for a bit more time from her, hoping to afford to pay part of his rent by guiding two blind people during today’s celebration, as well as getting paid for taking care of a small dog for the day.
